Studio Policy
Scheduling and Pricing
Matt Mifflin Music offers 30-minute lessons. All lessons take place on a weekly basis. Weekly lessons will take place on the day and time that is agreed upon by the student and instructor. Matt Mifflin Music does not offer bi-weekly lessons. 60-minute lessons are available upon request.
New students may pay for one individual lesson before signing on for recurring weekly lessons. Once signing on for recurring weekly lessons, students are required to pay by the month.
All lessons are pre-paid. Pre-payment is required to book the first lesson. The lesson rate is $30 / 30 minutes.
Billing
Monthly payments are made via auto-charge on a stored credit card. Auto-charge will occur on the 1st of each month, for all scheduled lessons in the upcoming month. For example, payment for February lessons will be charged on February 1st. Payment amounts may change from month-to-month, based on how many weeks are in the upcoming month.
Cancellation Policy
24 hours notice is required for all student cancellations. No credits or make-ups will be given for student cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled lesson time. Refunds are not available.
If the instructor is absent, students will be notified with as much notice as possible. The lesson will be canceled and students will be issued a credit towards the following month for the missed lesson.
Absence
Students will be allowed one excused absence per month. Students must provide at least 24 hours notice of their absence in order to receive an excused absence credit. Excused absences will be credited toward the student’s next payment. Any absences reported with less than 24 hours notice will not be excused. No more than one excused absence will be credited to the student per month.
Make-up lessons and rescheduled lessons can be requested based on instructor availability but cannot be guaranteed.
Tardiness
Students are expected to arrive on-time for their scheduled lessons. If you are late to your lesson, please be advised that your lesson time will not be extended and your lesson will still end at the scheduled finish time. Students who arrive 15 minutes or more late will forfeit their lesson, and the lesson will not occur.
No-Shows
Repeated no-shows will result in the loss of your weekly lesson slot.
Discontinuing Lessons
Students who wish to discontinue their ongoing lessons must provide 14 days notice. Any lessons that have already been paid will not be refunded.

Matt Mifflin Music reserves the right to dismiss students due to consistently poor practice habits, being unprepared for lessons, multiple attendance issues, poor behavior, lack of payment, or late payments.
Inclement Weather Policy
